Executive Summary
Richard Gonzalez & Associates, Inc. (RG&A) is a Sacramento based “S” Corporation located in downtown Sacramento and near to the State Capitol. We are in close proximity to State agencies allowing personal deliveries, meetings with staff and attendance at all informational meetings. The School Facilities Program is always undergoing changes administered by the OPSC, both in requirements and application process as well as regulation changes. RG&A is constantly evaluating these changes and informing clients of all new funding opportunities as they are being developed. This provides our clients the ability to consider funding opportunities as they arise.
RG&A was incorporated in 2004 and the owner, Richard Gonzalez, has participated in the State’s school facilities funding programs both as a State employee and a consultant for more than 25 years. During this time, he has worked with the following State agencies:
· Office of Public School Construction – OPSC
· California Department of Education – CDE
· Division of the State Architect – DSA
· Department of Toxic Substance Control – DTSC
· Department of Industrial Relations – DIR
· Pooled Money Investment Board – PMIB
RG&A has been active with very small one-school rural school districts, county offices and large urban school districts. This has provided the firm with a wide understanding of the needs of school districts regardless of size, location and economic conditions.
RG&A works cooperatively with the district’s facilities team to maximize the district’s facilities goal. Our working relationship with facilities team members has resulted in other professionals asking us to partner with them on projects.
Monitoring of Project Performance is a construction management function. However, RG&A does monitor the progress of the project from the time it is expected to be a state funded project through fund release as well as required project expenditure reporting. Time sensitive issues are made apparent through reports and/or direct phone contact.
